Adrian Murphy, Raising Funds for MND Scotland

  • Submitted by: Sandra White, Glasgow Kelvin, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 22 December 2020
  • Motion reference: S5M-23770

That the Parliament commends the amazing efforts of Glasgow Kelvin constituency-based, Adrian Murphy, in raising funds for MND Scotland; understands that Adrian, who is the Chair of the charity, is running 5k, or 25 minutes a day, in December 2020 and aims to raise £5,000; notes that his brother, Brian, was diagnosed with the condition in 2018 and that, in recognition of the fantastic support that MND Scotland has provided to Brian and the family, Adrian wants to give back to the charity through his new voluntary post and by fundraising; recognises that the money raised will go towards transforming care and will also help fund vital research into finding a cure; congratulates Adrian on raising over £3,500 towards his target so far; encourages everyone to visit justgiving.com/fundraising/adrianmurphymwraised for more information and to donate; wishes Adrian the best of luck with his efforts and success in his new role, and sends its best wishes to him and Brian.
