To ask the Scottish Government when it will open a consultation on whether its food waste reduction target should be statutory.

As previously indicated the Scottish Government has committed to consult on whether the food waste reduction target should be statutory. We will include details of future plans in relation to the food waste reduction target in our upcoming Food Waste Reduction Action Plan which will be published shortly.
