To ask the Scottish Government what plans it has to produce an updated action plan for dealing with heart disease.
Answered by: Jeane Freeman 21 January 2019
The Scottish Government’s Heart Disease Improvement Plan has been the cornerstone of the work of the National Advisory Committee on Heart Disease. Huge progress has been made, and continues to be made in all the priority areas.
We will take advice from our Specialty Advisor on Heart Disease over the coming weeks and will discuss this issue at the February meeting of the National Committee on Heart Disease. They will advise whether an updated plan is required.
