S5W-13461: Brian Whittle (South Scotland)

Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party

Date lodged: 15 December 2017

To ask the Scottish Government whether compulsory cardiotocography (CTG) training for all neonatal staff has been implemented across all NHS boards; whether time is allocated during working hours for this training, and whether it is compulsory at least twice a year.

Answered by: Shona Robison 9 January 2018

Neonatal staff would not normally undertake compulsory cardiotocography (CTG) training as they do not provide care for women during labour and birth.
