To ask the Scottish Government whether it is developing a strategy for the collection and publication of high-quality statistics relating to applications for and payment of devolved benefits and associated appeals.

The Scottish Government’s intention is to have a social security system that is transparent and accountable; a system that is always trying to improve. Collecting and publishing data are key to these aims.
The process for collection and publication of statistics on all the devolved benefits, including on associated appeals, is being developed.
