S5W-07894: Donald Cameron (Highlands and Islands)

Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party

Date lodged: 8 March 2017

To ask the Scottish Government what assessment it has made of the implications on its policies of the Brain Tumour Charity’s Patient Guide to Brain Tumour Treatment and Services, which was published in November 2016.

Answered by: Shona Robison 20 March 2017

We welcome the Brain Tumour Charity's recent publication, which aims to inform and empower people with brain tumours. The Scottish Government is committed to ensuring that everyone who needs it can access clinically appropriate, safe and effective person-centred healthcare, treatment and support. Our £100 million cancer strategy, Beating Cancer: Ambition and Action, published last year aims to improve diagnosis and treatment for all cancers, including brain tumours.
