S5W-04719: Pauline McNeill (Glasgow)

Scottish Labour

Date lodged: 15 November 2016

To ask the Scottish Government whether it promotes the use of anonymous marking in universities and colleges as part of the equality agenda.

Answered by: Shirley-Anne Somerville 6 December 2016

This is a matter for individual colleges and universities to determine. However these institutions are required to give due regard to the Equality Act 2010. The Scottish Funding Council monitors and supports colleges and universities to deliver and embed equality outcomes in line with the requirements of the Act.
