S5W-04121: John Finnie (Highlands and Islands)

Scottish Green Party

Date lodged: 28 October 2016

To ask the Scottish Government, further to its announcement on 10 October 2016 of its support for a third runway at Heathrow Airport, and the announcement of a “£10m route development fund to help support new domestic routes”, whether it will define the term “domestic routes”; who will be consulted on any new domestic routes, and when the £10 million will become available.

Answered by: Keith Brown 11 November 2016

Domestic routes refers to routes between Heathrow Airport and other UK airports. Applications for funding under Heathrow's £10 million fund will be for airlines and airports to progress and consult on. Heathrow has confirmed that the £10 million fund will commence once it has received development consent from the UK Government.
