Scottish Labour

Date lodged: 29 September 2016

To ask the Scottish Government whether it is its policy to provide a vehicle and passenger ferry service between Gourock and Dunoon town centres.

Answered by: Humza Yousaf 24 October 2016

The Scottish Government would welcome a vehicle and passenger ferry service on the Gourock to Dunoon town centre route. A Contract Notice, formally beginning the procurement process, issued on 8 July 2016. It is for potential participants to assess the commercial viability and risk of providing a vehicle-carrying service.
