To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to ensure that local authorities use the powers available to them under the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009.

Transport Scotland officials are setting up a stakeholder group with parking managers from all local authorities in Scotland and issues relating to the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009 will be discussed at that meeting.
A Scottish Ministers report, for reporting year 2015-16, is due to be laid before parliament by 30 September 2016. It is for local authorities to consider how best to meet their duties.
