S5W-01959: Richard Lochhead (Moray)

Scottish National Party

Date lodged: 16 August 2016

To ask the Scottish Government how many consultant posts in each NHS board specialise in Parkinson's disease, also expressed as a ratio to the (a) population and (b) number of people with the condition, and (i) how many and (ii) what percentage of the posts are vacant.

Answered by: Shona Robison 9 September 2016

The information requested is not held centrally.

Specialist care of patients with Parkinson’s disease is likely to be led by consultants in neurology. However it is not possible to specifically identify those who specialise in Parkinson’s disease in the data centrally held.
