S5O-00321: Christina McKelvie (Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse)

Scottish National Party

Date lodged: 2 November 2016

To ask the Scottish Government how many community right to buy cases have been approved since April 2016 and how many are under consideration.

Answered by: Roseanna Cunningham 9 November 2016

Since 15 April 2016, when the revised legislation came into effect, there have been seven Community Right to Buy applications to register a community interest in land.

Of those applications to register a community interest in land, four have been approved (registered), one rejected, one withdrawn and one is under consideration.

Two registrations are currently proceeding through the right to buy stage. These are at an early stage and will be considered for approval by me in due course.
