I am a Member at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). [Registered 31 December 2017]

I am a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). [Registered 31 December 2017]

I am resident in two properties in Scotland, owning one jointly with my spouse and the other I own alone. The latter is used as my Edinburgh Accommodation and as the interest on the mortgage which partly funded it was previously paid for by the Scottish Parliament (2003-2011), I have committed to not designate this property as my main residence for tax purposes.

From time to time I participate in surveys which result in payments to voluntary bodies nominated by me. I receive no financial benefit from this.
