Question

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide a breakdown of the £1.3 million allocated to the Complex Mesh Removal Surgical Service during 2021-22.

Answer

The Complex Pelvic Mesh Removal Service was designated in July last year, supported by £5.1 million of Scottish Government funding over three years. This included £1.9 million for 2021-22.

However, in light of Covid-19 and the impact this is having on activity levels across the health service, this figure is likely to require modification and the detail of this is not yet finalised.
