Question

To ask the Scottish Government what powers are available to the management of Glasgow Prestwick Airport to decline any proposed visit by private or military aircraft from the United States.


Answer

Glasgow Prestwick Airport operates at arms length from the Scottish Government. Any arrangement between the business and customers or potential customers is a commercial matter for Glasgow Prestwick Airport. The use of UK airspace is reserved to the UK Government.
