Question

To ask the Scottish Government how many businesses in the Stirling Council area (a) are exempt from paying and (b) receive a discount for non-domestic rates.

Answer

As at June 2019, 3,490 properties in the Stirling Council area do not pay non-domestic rates as a result of either exemption from rates or non-domestic rates relief of 100%. A further 320 properties have their non-domestic rates bill reduced through non-domestic rates relief. In addition, 230 properties have an RV of zero and therefore do not have a rates liability.
