Question
To ask the Scottish Government what it estimates the non-domestic rates contribution is of the Scotch Whisky industry.
Answer
Distilleries in the valuation rolls in Scotland have a total non-domestic rates liability of around £13.5 million for 2016-17. This figure excludes any separate properties associated with the Scotch Whisky industry.
