That the Parliament pays tribute to Jill Brown, the founder of Conviction Records CIC; believes that the social enterprise is Scotland's first record label for those who have experience of the criminal justice system; commends Jill for leading songwriting workshops in HMP Barlinnie for the past decade and for recognising the limited access to the music industry that people leaving prison encounter; understands that Conviction Records is partnering with industry-leading professionals to increase the impact of its activities; sees the potential of the social enterprise to transform the lives of those with previously untapped talent; notes that it has launched a GoFundMe crowdfunder to enable the signing of its first highly-talented artist, and wishes all at Conviction Records every success as a dynamic, young social enterprise with ambitious plans.
