Campbeltown Town Centre Wins Scotland's Most Improved Place Award

That the Parliament congratulates the people of Campbeltown on their success in winning recognition as Scotland’s most improved place in the 2020 SURF Awards; recognises that this award is due to the hard work and commitment of the town's people, and of Argyll and Bute Council and its key partners; welcomes indications that the improvements, which includes an investment of £13 million in the town centre; understands that this is already attracting interest from new businesses in Campbeltown, and expresses thanks to the external funders of SURF, which include Historic Environment Scotland, the Heritage Lottery, the National Lottery, Argyll and the Islands LEADER and many others.
