Edinburgh Maggie’s 50 Miles in January Running Challenge

  • Submitted by: Jeremy Balfour, Lothian, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 15 February 2021
  • Motion reference: S5M-24131

That the Parliament congratulates all who took part or donated to Edinburgh Maggie’s running challenge, 50 miles in January, which raised over £487,000; understands that, because of isolation, delayed treatment and potentially poorer outcomes due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an increased need for physiological support for people with cancer, and acknowledges that the funds raised from the challenge will help people with the condition get the support that they need.
