That the Parliament congratulates Elphin local, Helen O’Keefe, on winning the Scottish Crofting Federation’s Young Crofter of the Year; understands that Helen has increased her flock of Shetland sheep from six to nearly 100 in under four years, which provides the local community with lambs, mutton, fleeces and yarn; notes that Helen established ‘The Green Bowl’, an online food hub which has been immensely successful since its launch; recognises that Helen also runs the Elphin Tea Rooms in which she offers croft produce and home-baking to locals and tourists; further notes that Helen is an active participant in the empowering ‘Women in Crofting’ network, and wishes Helen good luck with her myriad of projects.
