That the Parliament congratulates David Mackie on his retirement as the Senior Archivist of Orkney Library and Archive; understands that David, who is also known as "The Fonds", was a long-time contributor to the service's popular blog; notes that he began working as the Photo Archivist in 1986 before becoming the Head Archivist in 2010; believes that his vast experience has been an invaluable asset over this time; notes that he has helped many people as well as supported efforts to extend the reach of the service's work to a wider audience in the community and well beyond; applauds David’s outstanding contribution to supporting the work of the Library and Archive; thanks him for his many years of dedicated service and hard work; and wishes David a long, enjoyable and well-earned retirement.
