Made in Midlothian Supporting Scottish Makers

That the Parliament congratulates Made in Midlothian on being awarded £5,000 of funding from Firstport to support its online marketplace, which features nearly 100 makers that produce authentic products made in Scotland; understands that Made in Midlothian has also been awarded £30,000 from Creative Scotland's Youth Arts Small Grants Scheme as part of a Scottish Government COVID-19 emergency fund to support the arts, and that it will work in partnership with Midlothian Voluntary Action to deliver the fund and provide arts activities for children and young people in Midlothian, particularly those most affected by COVID-19; understands that this funding will be used to connect local artists and makers to children and young people, who will create art together, and that there will be a digital showcase of this work in March 2022 to celebrate their creations; congratulates the management team at Made in Midlothian on their work, and wishes them all the best going forward.
