Abertay University, Centre of Excellence for Cyber Security

That the Parliament congratulates Abertay University on being the first university in Scotland to receive the Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education Gold Award from the National Cyber Security Centre, which is part of GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters); recognises the research and outreach carried out by Abertay University; welcomes the university’s multi-million-pound plans for the cyberQuarter in Dundee, funded through the Tay Cities Region Deal; believes that this success is a testament to the continual efforts of academics, support staff and senior management to make sure cyber security remains high on their agenda, and wishes Abertay University further success for the future.
