That the Parliament congratulates the inspiring work of eight primary schools in Kirkintilloch to create a colourful rainbow; acknowledges with gratitude the support and partnership working of Kirkintilloch Community Council, known as “Your Kirky”; pays tribute to the creativity of pupils and staff at Gartconner, Harestanes, Hillhead, Holy Family, Holy Trinity, Lairdsland, Merkland and Oxgang primary schools; understands that 1,750 pupils each selected a stone to paint at home before they were collected and mounted for display in Kirkintilloch’s town centre; recognises the positivity and community spirit generated by the project; welcomes the news that this uplifting 3D mural will remain in place until spring or summer 2021 as a visible symbol of shared hope and support, and congratulates all the local families involved.
