That the Parliament recognises the contribution made by Maria Fyfe to building a fair and equal society; recognises Maria as a principled and tireless campaigner who inspired others to fight injustice; commends her instrumental role in the campaign for devolution and the creation of the Scottish Parliament; recognises Maria's contribution to the cause of women and in particular her advocacy of equal representation; respects her unwavering commitment to peace, equality and socialism; offers its sincerest condolences to her family, friends and comrades on her passing, and pledges to respect Maria's memory by carrying on her work.
