LEAP, Supporting the Cambuslang Community

That the Parliament recognises the efforts of Cambuslang-based charity, LEAP, in supporting people in the community prior to and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic; notes the record investment by the charity in the last financial year of £687,000; commends the services supported by this investment, such as telephone befriending, as well as the delivering of groceries to vulnerable people; appreciates the efforts that have been made to adapt its service provision to the pandemic restrictions of the time, commends the charity for its invaluable work in tackling social isolation under extremely different circumstances, and wishes them well for the rest of the financial year and the future.
