Calum Steele Elected President of EuroCOP

That the Parliament congratulates Calum Steele, General Secretary of the Scottish Police Federation, on his election to the role of President of the European Confederation of Police (EuroCOP); understands that EuroCOP is the umbrella organisation for 30 police unions and staff organisations in Europe, representing 230,000 police officers; believes that, after a policing career of more than 27 years in the former Northern Constabulary and now in Police Scotland, Calum is perfectly prepared for his new role; notes that Calum is also General Secretary of the International Council of Police Representative Associations, which is a body bringing together over 1.5 million police members from 43 police unions spanning nearly 30 countries and four continents, and wishes Calum well in his new role.
