That the Parliament welcomes the creation of the East Central Scotland Colleges Collaboration of Edinburgh, Fife, Forth Valley and West Lothian colleges; acknowledges the vital role that colleges are playing to help people and businesses deal with the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that this new collaboration has developed a range of reskilling and upskilling products to provide further support to people and employers who are affected by the economic downturn; notes that  collaboration’s Our Futures initiative, which is a comprehensive programme to develop the skills people need to succeed in the jobs market now and in the future, and believes that this collaboration will add value to what each of the four colleges is already delivering with their respective partnerships.
