That the Parliament celebrates the work of Jupiter Play and Leisure in ensuring that outdoor play spaces are inclusive for disabled children; understands that Jupiter has developed its Play Inclusive Play Areas Toolkit, which helps authorities building outdoor play areas ensure the spaces are inclusive; understands that this is a first in the UK; acknowledges that one in 20 children live with a disability, meaning that many young people are excluded from outdoor play due to accessibility issues; commends Jupiter’s work in Drumpellier Country Park, Coatbridge to create The Crannog, which is a fully-inclusive playground; recognises the benefit of outdoor play for children and young people; believes that this has been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and acknowledges the Scottish Government’s commitment to outdoor and inclusive play.
