That the Parliament congratulates the winners at the Grampian Volunteer Transport Awards, which recognises the vital contribution that community transport provides in the community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when such services became even more valuable for those who were isolated; understands that Dave McLauchlin, of Aberdeen Cyrenians, and Norman Kinnaird, of Huntly Community Mini Bus, were the joint winners of the award for Volunteer Driver/Escort of the Year, with Dave's commitment to his role collecting food donations ensuring that Aberdeen Cyrenians were able to provide emergency food parcels during the pandemic, and with Norman going out of his way to provide social interaction for people who were isolated as a result of COVID-19; notes that other winners included North East Rider Volunteers Scotland (NERVS), which picked up the Community Contribution (Organisation) Award, with special mentions for the Aberdeenshire Council officers, Charles Mackintosh and Tracey Morris, and Rachel Milne, of North East Transport Training; recognises that the Grampian Volunteer Transport Awards are sponsored by First Aberdeen and Stagecoach Scotland and supported by Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, Moray Council, NHS Grampian and Nestrans, and commends all those who have provided vital community transport services during this difficult year.
