North East Sensory Services’ Lottery Awards

That the Parliament congratulates North East Sensory Services (NESS) on securing £75,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Young Start Fund, which will be used over the next three years for its young people’s service; congratulates the charity on being awarded an additional £10,000 by the Scottish Children’s Lottery's Chance to Connect Fund; notes that its Young People’s Sensory Service helps more than 100 children in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray; recognises that the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown have posed new challenges to children with hearing and visual impairments, and commends NESS on its work to ensure that children in the north east can participate in society in the same way as their peers.
