That the Parliament congratulates Edinburgh College, Balerno High School, Tynecastle High School and Drummond Community High School on being shortlisted for the TES Schools Awards; recognises that the TES Schools Awards celebrate the extraordinary commitment, quality and innovation shown by teachers and school staff across the UK in making a positive impact on the personal and academic success of students and the wider community; understands that the high schools and college have been shortlisted in the Community and Collaboration Award category for their Daydream Believers programme; recognises that, during their studies, Daydream Believers students are given live briefs that involve pitching to clients and tackling a broad range of commercial projects, and features a ground-breaking and sector-leading mentoring programme where the students get to work closely with a select group of industry professionals; appreciates that, in 2013, the design team picked up a Highly Commended Award at the SQA Star Awards in the Innovation category for their employer engagement strategy, and that the programme has been cited as an example of best practice; praises the staff and students for making the programme a success, and wishes them well for the awards in November 2020.
