That the Parliament celebrates all of the nominees in the Aberdeen’s Champion Awards, which recognise people in communities who aim to make the north-east a fantastic place to live and work by highlighting the efforts of men, women and children who have gone above and beyond to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that this event, in association with the Evening Express, Balmoral Group and Original 106FM, was held online; congratulate the winners from the Aberdeen Donside constituency; notes that these were the Bucksburn-based butcher, H&S Milne & Sons, which was named the Business Champion for its dedication to fulfil customer orders, even at the height of the pandemic, while raising funds for the area's schools. Triple A’s One Stop Charity Shop Project, which won the Charity Champion category for its work to change perceptions of people with autism. Community CleanUp, which was presented with the Community Champion award for its work to remove rubbish along the River Don, and Dyce teenager Demmi Ewen, who was named the Young Person Champion for organising activities and quizzes for older people at the height of lockdown and running the community association to ensure that people shielding had their shopping delivered; applauds all of the winners and nominees from across the city, and thanks them for their big-hearted actions, demonstrating that community spirit is still very much alive in Aberdeen.
