That the Parliament recognises the expansion and improvement of the Blawthorne National Nature Reserve in West Lothian with an additional 50 acres; understands that these improvements have been made possible by the conclusion of a new agreement between Scottish Natural Heritage and a local landowner; believes that the expansion will provide greater opportunities for volunteer work to be carried out; notes that these improvements will allow people to explore the history of the peat bog while searching for carnivorous sundews, spotting dragonflies and damselflies, heath spotted orchids and curlews, and considers that the nature reserve provides a precious local resource and opportunity for peace and reflection.
