DURFC’s One Million Reps for MNDA

  • Submitted by: Tom Mason, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 01 July 2020
  • Motion reference: S5M-22203

That the Parliament congratulates Dundee University Rugby Football Club (DURFC) on the successful completion of its fundraising challenge, One Million Reps for MNDA, which involved DURFC players past and present completing a million repetitions of either squats, push ups, dips or sit ups during June 2020; notes that this helped to raise more than £3,500 in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA); recognises the profound and devastating impact that MND has on families across Scotland and the excellent work of MNDA to support people living with the condition; welcomes this excellent initiative from the DURFC to support a cause that is very close to it, and wishes the club, which is the current Scottish Conference Cup holder, the very best of success for the season ahead.
