  • Motion reference: S5M-21163

That the Parliament congratulates Karen Hall on receiving a prestigious Churchill Fellowship; understands that Karen, who works as a Shetland-based marine mammal adviser at Scottish Natural Heritage, received the award to aid research in Canada, the United States and Fiji into enabling remote communities to develop and manage marine protected areas; recognises that Churchill Fellowships are awarded each year to up to 150 people to fund overseas research grants to help come up with innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems; wishes Karen success in her research, and looks forward to the findings of her report and lessons for community-led marine management in Scotland.
