Falkirk Fury Basketball Club Receives Sportscotland Direct Club Investment

That the Parliament congratulates Falkirk Fury Basketball Club on being awarded £27,000 over four years through sportscotland Direct Club Investment; understands that the Falkirk-based sports club, whose home ground is the Grangemouth Sports Complex, also runs community programmes across the Falkirk and Grangemouth area and will use the funding to employ a part-time coach with a view to establishing a recreational and community programme aimed at involving more females in the sport; welcomes steps taken to encourage people from all walks of life to take part in sporting activities; notes that Falkirk Fury Basketball Club has six Scottish National Championship teams playing in Division 1, and wishes the club continued success with its current campaign.
