Congratulations to Aberdeen Central Lottery Award Beneficiaries

That the Parliament congratulates Befriend A Child, Cornhill Community Association, Instant Neighbour Aberdeen, Sport Aberdeen and Dates-n-Mates on successfully securing grants from the National Lottery Community Fund, totalling £196,948; understands that this total consists of £66,358 for Befriend A Child to help protect children who have grown up in difficult circumstances, £103,471 for Cornhill Community Association to deliver a range of programmes and activities for the local community, £16,500 for Instant Neighbour Aberdeen to deliver direct support to people experiencing severe fuel poverty, £10,520 for Sport Aberdeen to deliver a range of exercise activities for refugees and asylum seekers, and £99,000 for Dates-n-Mates to continue tackling social isolation for adults with learning disabilities in Aberdeen; thanks the members of staff and volunteers at these organisations for their tireless work in improving the lives of those who use and depend on their services, and wishes the organisations every success in delivering their individual projects.
