Prioritising COVID-19 Vaccination and Economic Recovery - Amendment
- Submitted by: Willie Rennie, North East Fife, Scottish Liberal Democrats.
- Date lodged: Tuesday, 26 January 2021
- Motion reference: S5M-23958.1
As an amendment to motion S5M-23958 in the name of Donald Cameron (Prioritising COVID-19 Vaccination and Economic Recovery), insert at end "; urges both the Scottish and UK governments to put recovery first and have a needle-sharp focus on the pandemic; considers that the country cannot afford further avoidable disruption and for ministers to be distracted; believes that their focusing on constitutional issues is the wrong priority for the country and insensitive to the needs of everyone whose lives and livelihoods are being impacted by the virus, and that it is wrong to restart the independence campaign when the NHS and public services are under intense pressure, many businesses are on their knees, pupils are missing out on learning and millions of people are waiting on the vaccine, and that the mistakes of Brexit should be learned not repeated with independence."
