Question
To ask the Scottish Government what steps it has taken to ensure that any plans for a new or developed scheme for goose management on Islay is state aid compliant.
Answer
The preparation of an application for new state aid cover for the goose scheme on Islay and elsewhere is well advanced. We expect to enter into informal discussions with the European Commission in the coming months, ahead of a formal submission for state aid approval.
