Question
To ask the Scottish Government when the reforms under the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 to remove no-fault evictions will come into force.
Answer
The Scottish Government will consult later in 2016 on the detail of how the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 is brought into force. Subject to the outcome of the consultation, it expects the Act’s provisions - including those removing no-fault evictions – to come into force in December 2017.
