To ask the Scottish Government whether the Scottish Information Commissioner is subject to purdah.


Answer

<>No, the commissioner is not subject to purdah because she is not part of the Scottish Government. The commissioner is an independent public official appointed by Her Majesty the Queen on the nomination of the Scottish Parliament.
