Question
To ask the Scottish Executive for what reason the same system for allocating houses is not used by all local authorities and housing associations.
Answer
Housing needs, pressures and stock profile vary across Scotland and social landlords are best placed, in discussion with their tenants, to develop the most effective allocation policy which balances the housing needs and demands of their communities.
