  • Submitted by: Fulton MacGregor, Coatbridge and Chryston, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 01 May 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13056

That the Parliament congratulates the fundraising efforts of the Gartsherrie Bowling Club in Coatbridge, which recently raised £1,600 for St Andrew's Hospice and £1,500 for Coatbridge Food Bank; understands that the funds for St Andrew's Hospice will help continue the important palliative care that takes place there, as well as at its outpatient and wellbeing services, community support at home services, and its grief and bereavement support services; further understands that the money raised for the Coatbridge Food Bank will help fund administrative and running costs; praises the Gartsherrie Bowling Club for recognising the hard work of its fellow community organisations; believes that inter-community cooperation, such as in relation to these fundraisers, helps to further foster a sense of connection across towns and cities in Scotland, and wishes all the organisations continued support for the important work that they do.
