  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 30 April 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13027

That the Parliament congratulates Eugenie Aroutcheff on winning the 2024 My Place Community Champion Award; notes that the Community Champion Award celebrates individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to improving a project space within their local community; understands that Eugenie won the award through her work with Rutherglen-based charity, Grow 73, which aims to help people of all ages and abilities to grow their own produce, and learn how to lead more sustainable lives and support local biodiversity; considers that Eugenie has been instrumental in Grow 73 going from strength to strength over the years, becoming an anchor organisation in Rutherglen that works closely with local nurseries, schools, businesses, and third sector organisations, and thanks Eugenie and all other Grow 73 volunteers for their commitment to improving spaces in Rutherglen, Cambuslang, and surrounding areas through their work.
